After commenting on the common concepts of 2009-04-01 Habermas published summaries of the main ideas of BFN in a 1994 “Postscript” and in two of the essays in his 1998 volume The Inclusion of the Other, all of which make it clear that the thesis he worked out in BFN, chap. 3 remained central to his thinking through at least 1996, since these were originally published in 1996 as Die Einbeziehung des anderen: Studien zur politischen Theorie (Habermas, 1974: 49).
